30 minute portraits
These paintings are done entirely in a 30 minute time contraint! That parameter means that the painting is loose and painterly with lots of fun visible brush strokes. I try to quickly capture the essence of a person without necessarily worrying about a perfect likeness or detailed clothes or backgrounds.

There’s some stricter parameters to these quick paintings though, so I can make them the best I can in the 30 minutes.

Plain background (your photo doesn’t have to nothing in the background, but I will not paint anything but a solid color back there)

WHy should you Get a 30 minute portrait?
It’s AWESOME to have real, original, one-of-a-kind art of someone you love
This is crazy affordable ($50) and new for me, so I might change the price one day
It’s a cool story that it’s done in just 30 minutes
They’re imperfect in a good way (in a world filled with so much fake stuff, its really nice to see the human touch, right?)
They’re great little gifts! A great idea for that someone who already has everything. They probably don’t have a painting of someone special to them!
If you want something more complex:
This is a fun project, different from my normal commissed portraits, because of the time contraint, the stricter requirements for photo references, and because I use acrylic as opposed to my usual oil. If you’re interested in something with more detail where the background, their clothing, and a more exact likeness matters a little more to you, you can talk to me about a regular commission.
